Stay safe and wear a mask at Pediatric Dental Healthcare Plainville MA

The New Normal at Pediatric Dental Healthcare

We hope you and your family are in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past year, and while many things have changed, one thing has remained the same:
Our commitment to you and your safety.

Changes at our office

The pandemic has forced lifestyle changes and Pediatric Dental Healthcare has undergone some adjustments as well. As part of our safety measures, the toy-filled waiting area has become more of a touch-free zone. Our strict cleaning and sterilization regimen has been further enhanced by top of the line agents used before and after every patient. During procedures, we will utilize aseptic techniques and specialized suction devices to reduce procedure-related aerosols. We continue to take precautionary steps to safeguard against illness, including the use of certified personal protective equipment. Nevertheless, beneath the layers of protective gear, our staff is smiling and ready to serve.

Prior to your appointment

•  Please inform the staff, if you or your child exhibits COVID-19 symptoms or has been in contact with symptomatic individuals. We will reschedule the appointment to a later date.

•  Patients must arrive 10 minutes prior to scheduled appointment time. Patients arriving later than 10 minutes may only receive an examination and/or limited treatment to allow adequate time to prepare for the next patient.

•  It is necessary to limit the number of people attending the appointment to the patient and one parent/guardian due to restricted room capacity. To your comfort level, older patients may be sent up by themselves, and you will be informed when the appointment has ended.

•  All new and established patients must review and complete the COVID-19 consent and screening forms below prior to their scheduled appointment.

1.  COVID PATIENT SCREENING

2.  ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK

3.  MEDICAL / DENTAL HISTORY UPDATE

Each form is in PDF format, so you'll need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to view them. Click here to download and install directly from Adobe.

Upon arrival to your appointment

•  Please follow social distancing signs upon entry into the building and directives from the staff.

•  The use of hand sanitizer will be required upon entry.

•  Any individual over age 2 will be required to wear a mask to the appointment. This includes parent or guardian accompanying patients as well as patients themselves.

•  Consider bringing a sweater or warm clothes to the appointment. Indoor temperatures will be kept lower for staff donned in personal protective equipment.

•  Children who have adverse reactions to costumes may benefit from parental explanations of personal protective equipment (PPE). Viewing photos or videos of health care workers in PPE prior to the appointment may be helpful.

Upon completion of your appointment

•  For sanitary purposes, pre-made goodie bags including dental products, stickers and toys will be dispensed at the end of the appointment.

•  Please stop at the desk so the administrative staff can schedule your next appointments at check-out. Then proceed to follow the exit route through the side door as indicated by the floor decals.

Thank you for your continued support and for your consideration of these matters. Our number one concern is and will always be our patients, so we must ensure that our practice is safe and in compliance with public health regulations. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours in Excellent Oral Health,

The Doctors & Staff at Pediatric Dental HealthCare
